A Valentine’s Day Gift Guide Starring my Clients
I’m not a huge Valentine’s Day person. I tend to think it’s a bunch of B.S. Since our daughter came along, though, we tend to celebrate as a family. This year, we’re taking our daughter out to a local seafood restaurant and calling it a night. She bought us each chocolates and I’ve constructed a hot mess of a “gift basket” to give her. Husband and I might even swap gifts. You never know.
This year, I thought I’d celebrate Valentine’s Day with a little last minute gift guide. All of these are local clients of mine who could potentially save you if you may have forgotten a gift. Because, you know, today is Valentine’s Day. You didn’t forget, did you?
#1 Order a sweet subscription from Sassypants & Pastries.
This is a pastry subscription service base in Charlotte. She’s actually been a close acquaintance for a few years (like almost eight) and I finally got to work with her last year when she launched this sweet little business. I loved working with her and I’ve sampled some of her goodies. They are wonderful. A perfect gift that shows up each month on your Valentine’s door step.
#2 Let HeirShare organize your love’s genealogy.
Does your sweetheart love their family history? Do they have oodles of historic documents and photos floating around in boxes? Heirshare is a service that helps families conserve their history and share it with others miles away. Adair will take all of those documents and photos, digitize, organize and package them so that you have a well kept record of your family’s history and a way to share it with those all over the globe. Not a traditional gift, which is what makes it perfect.
#3 Glam up your significant other at Studio M.
Does your bae love to be pampered? Natalie at Studio M is seriously a Hollywood caliber makeup artist. I’ve personally experienced her process and customer service and it’s flawless. She’s the real deal. Contact her today and treat your makeup lover. Then you can take them out for a night on the town.
Of course there are always the other bagillion wonderful local shops and eateries all over Spartanburg where you could go right now and get a gift certificate or book reservations. Or, you can go the anti-consumerism way and make something pretty for your special someone. Involved the kids if you’ve got em. Or … go do something for yourself! What ever you choose, have a super cool Valentine’s Day.
What are you doing this Valentine’s Day?
