Download all of your Facebook data including photos, videos, posts and more.
I’m going to show you how to download your Facebook data. What kind of data? Well, we’ll download all of your Facebook posts, photos, videos and every other piece of info you ever published there. It’s not complicated and the files are completely and totally accessible when you’re done. First, let me tell you something about social media.
You don’t own the connection.
Here’s the thing. You don’t own your connection on social media. You don’t own the platform. While you do retain original copyright to your content, it’s still jointly owned by that platform. So, if you upload a career’s worth of photos, videos, and other marketing content to your Facebook page and your page is removed or deleted … Facebook has no liability to recover or return any of that data. You lose your content as well as your audience.
The only sure way to make sure you retain all rights to your content is not to give it away in the first place. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t use platforms like Facebook or Instagram to grow your brand and following. Not at all. You should use these tools in whatever way is best for your brand. What I am saying is not to live there full time. Have a website. A domain you own and hosting you pay for. That way you have 100% access to your content. There’s really no excuse not to own your own connection and content these days. Especially with platforms like WordPress out there making is so simple to create your own platform.
Let’s get back on topic.
